Directions From Asheville Regional Airport to Ridgecrest To reach Ridgecrest by car from the airport, go west on I-26 toward Asheville; at junction of I-40, go east on I-40 to Exit 66. At the top of the ramp, turn left. At the first junction, turn right (onto Old U.S. 70), and continue a short distance to the Ridgecrest entrance on the left. The main route for Ridgecrest is to get on either I-40 East or West depending on where you are traveling from in the country.
Because the drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains is so beautiful, many Ridgecrest guests enjoy flying into other airports. This often times is a more economical option as well, as these larger airports generally offer discounted rates through the larger carriers such as Northwest, Delta, United, American, US Air and Continental.
