This week, Pastor Borghardt and Jon Kohlmeier were joined by Patrick Sturdivant. They gathered in McHenry for the midnight showing of The Avengers and decided it would be a good idea to record an hour of radio afterwords at 3am. Episode 186 is the outcome of that. Borghardt channels his inner Shrek to say donkey a lot. Then during "Free Time" a very excited Jon tries to talk about processionals in Church only for Pr. Borghardt to end up looking at Holy Week in the Gospel of John.

Happy Birthday to the Host of HT-Radio, Pr. George Borghardt! Throughout the episode Pr. Borghardt receives birthday greetings from a few of his close friends and regular guests on HT-Radio. In the first half Pr. Joel Fritsche of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL walks through the account of Jacob Wrestling with God and points to some other places that the pre-incarnate Christ shows up in the Old Testament. In the second half, Sandra Ostapowich gives us some conference news and then Jon and Pastor Borghardt talks about birthdays and death during Free Time.

This week we have a special "Free Time" episode of HT-Radio. Pr. George Borghardt and Jon Kohlmeier talk about things that are on their minds. They begin by walking through the Gospel lessons for the -gesima Sundays. Then they talk about the original Star Wars trilogy in a segment that was recorded at 2am on Saturday. Jon Kohlmeier spent his friday night watching the trilogy with a group from Luther Memorial Chapel in Shorewood, WI. He has some questions about the fourth commandment and baptism in the films. Finally, Pr. Borghardt talks about how the Law isn't for "someone else" it's for you!

This week on HT-Radio Pr. Buetow talks about his recent article on the Higher Things website, "Growing Up? You Need your Pastor More than Ever!" (http://dtbl.org/4608). In the second half he joins Pr. Borghardt and Jon for "Free Time" and helps answer a question from a college student about the Law. Then, Pr. Cwirla concludes his series on the Lord's Prayer talking about the last word, "Amen."
